A guy in an orange shirt gets into the pro-tec truck. He puts on his seatbelt and drives off to combat insidious criminals, or whatever it is they use that truck for.
Trees sway in a gentle breeze.
Curbside lineup: At the fore we have a small blue Toyota pickup, parked way too close to the fire hydrant. About thirty feet behind that (leaving room for a fire department vehicle) is the pro-tection-moblie, parked exactly parallel to the pro-tec offices. Behind that grumpy-looking truck: a meek red chevy pickup. And bringing up the rear, the mysterious VW rabbit.
There are three sections to the row of angle parking spaces at the front of the building, divided by little curb-enclosed gardens of bark and ivy and plants. Anyway, the southern two thirds of the lot, the ones in front of Reliant, Pro-tection and Dana's, are totally full but the area in front of Pro Pacific is completely vacant. This is not unusual recently. Maybe PPA has a back entrance that is somehow more convenient. Or they've gone out of business. Or: all the employees walk to work. Maybe there are more cars at the southern end of the lot becuase that's closer to the very popular candle-making business reported to exist around the back of the building.
Right around 9 o' clock the guy who walks his beagle walked by with his beagle.
